H.L. I love Rauhnåcht's excellent debut "Vorweltschweigen" and this EP is of the same mighty quality. Inexorably, like slowly creeping lava, the doomy black metal tracks conquer the listeners mind. Enhanced with a lot of atmospheric elements the dark songs are highly intense. Listen to the opener "Hochgewitters Majestät" and you will be caught as well. Fantastic! "Waldeinsamkeit" is completely based on the lyrics and sounds of STURMPERCHT, the legendary creators of Alpine Folk music.
This mini-Album with a playingtime of 28 minutes was in fact recorded BEFORE the debut album "Vorweltschweigen", but due to unknown reasons never finished. In autumn 2012 the band was able to complete the recordings, so that we could finally release this pearl of finest Alpine black metal now.

RAUHNÅCHT is a dark journey through deep forests and misty mountains, full of Alpine Battle Hymns and grim Martial Anthems for mountain trolls.

"Waldeinsamkeit" (means: forest solitude) is deeply engrained in alpine mysticism, ancient pagan rites and heathen legends around strange fairies and wild folks. This sinister album entrains you to arcane mountains, dark chasms and gloomy underwood and guides you to the most secret places in the very depth of the holy Central European Alps, where wild hunters meet creepy creatures from dusk til dawn.

Originally was released as CD in digipak, limited to 300 copies and two single sided LP editions, limited to 80 and 20 copies only!

Compared to Rauhnåcht's former outputs, this release is far less doomy. You will realize a higher variety in pace and quite a lot melodic elements. Personally, I prefer the doomy and darker past of the band, as the songs appeared more intense and individual in style. But don't get me wrong: There are no weak spots on the album and it is for sure highly recommended for every supporter of melodic Black Metal! H.L.
